The keyway hubs on those wheels rattle about a bit (although they can't move anywhere because they're wedged in nice and tightly with spacers.I might try a shim or two or just accept that this is a home-made rig and won't expect the ride quality of a BMW GS. This worked O.K but there is a bit of run-out (wobble) in the disk as there is practically no way of keeping the pieces totally still while welding. The heat tends to move things about, What’s more, one can thoroughly upgrade a minibike with aftermarket parts for a fraction of what it would cost to build-out a big-bore moto project. And while it is a somewhat niche scene, there are thriving minibike racing leagues scattered across America (and the rest of the world), giving riders a taste of racing without the exorbitant overhead costs that typically come with two-wheeled competition (not to mention a markedly lower chance of injury). While minibikes admittedly aren’t the most powerful or high-performance two-wheelers, they are nonetheless are capable of delivering a simple, stripped-down riding experience that maintains much of the thrills of full-size motos. The sensation of the wind in your face and the world speeding past you with nothing separating you from the ground is in no way lost on minibikes. On top of being cheaper to outright buy, minis are also far less expensive to register, maintain, and insure.
So this bit was a little bit trial and error for me as I've only just managed to get my hands on a tube bender and this is my first time using it. Cons: Expensive. Some maintenance to consider as the belt is consumable all will need replacing after a period. The unit is also quite wide giving the bike a fatter, and slightly lopsided look. I used a hole saw to notch the tubes (as shown) but those with patience can use a coping file too. I always try to get the best fit I can before welding to get a good strong joint. With all the angles a bit off from the tube bending, this was difficult to do! take your time here and it will pay off (as I should have done), Bikes tend to come with a Presta valve or a Schrader valve, with Schrader valves being the most common. The easiest way to spot the difference between the two is that Presta valves are made almost entirely from metal, while over half of a Schrader valve is wrapped in rubber. Portable Bike Pumps The only small engines available were lawn mower engines. Usually about 1 1/2 hp. flat head engines.

To make the forks, I did the tightest 'S'-bend i was able to with a 3" CLR die in the tube bender. I would guess yours will be the same. Don't worry about the precision on the width too much. There is plenty of room to adjust things later/add spacers etc. Just make sure the fork legs are the same on both sides That said, some can be so small that you’ll spend too long trying to inflate your tyre enough sufficiently, and others may have a disappointedly short shelf life. These are things to look out for, given you won’t want to aggravate the bad mood you’ll likely already be in. If you don't fancy a torque converter, a traditional centrifugal clutch like this one will work fine. Like the Cykeway, it comes with ‘Presta’ and ‘Schrader’ valve attachments, meaning it is great for either road or mountain bikes, and its bike frame mount means it can be attached securely to your bike and will be held firmly in place, with being overly heavy so as to weigh you and your bicycle down. Bend the pieces shown in the plans using a 3" CLR die. The digital level comes in to ensure both sides of the symmetrical 'U' shape pieces are straight. As you can see from the pics, mine didn't turn out totally level because I didn't take enough care. That said, it was possible to fiddle things later on to make them line up better.
